The City of Hialeah Gardens and Mayor Yioset De La Cruz have issued a DJ Laz Day Proclamation, stating, "We are pleased to have DJ Laz return to the South Florida airwaves with 'The DJ Laz Morning Show' ... beginning July 4th, 2012 on WRMA DJ 106.7 FM;
"THEREFORE ... [we] extend our heartfelt welcome to DJ Laz and hereby proclaim July 4th, 2012 as: 'DJ Laz Day.'"

DJ Laz Day Proclamation
WHEREAS, Lazaro Mendez, better know [sic] as DJ Laz, is considered to be one of the top-rated radio personalities in Miami; and
WHEREAS, DJ Laz has been influential in the music industry for the past two decades not only as a DJ, but as an artist, producer and music entrepreneur working with many of today's top talents; and
WHEREAS, DJ Laz's commitment and dedication to the South Florida community is reflected by his great support of Radio Lollipop, an international charity benefitting thousands of patients at Miami Children's Hospital over the past ten years; and
WHEREAS, we are pleased to have DJ Laz return to the South Florida airwaves with "The DJ Laz Morning Show," a four hour daily radio program beginning July 4th, 2012 on WRMA DJ 106.7 FM;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Yioset De La Cruz, Mayor of the City of Hialeah Gardens and on behalf of the City Council and the residents of our community extend our heartfelt welcome to DJ Laz and hereby proclaim July 4th, 2012 as:
"DJ Laz Day"
