It's Monday and the last place you wanna be is where you're at right now: stuck inside your cubicle surrounded by stacks of paper, where the only source of light is the dim glare of your computer screen.
We get it... Mondays are miserable. But hey, come 5 p.m., you'll be one step closer to Friday and with all of the great shows to look forward to this week, including sweet serenades from the Backstreet Boys and el ritmo de la salsa with Marc Anthony, the days ahead will feel more like a summer breeze.

Marc Anthony, racist America may think you're a "Mexican imposter" who sang "God Bless America" at the 2013 MLB All-Star Game, but we know you're "American as American pie." So go ahead, keep on making those Grammy Award winning hits and "[Vive tu] Vida."

The band that shook the music scene in Venezuela and Latin America with its Latin rock, and "created sound waves that reverberated across" the continent back in the early 90's is reuniting for la Ultima Cruzada. And they're ready to "rock and roll" in the 305.
Fishoutawata Music Festival. With the Cornerstoners, Pages & the Out of Hand Band, Urban Rebel, Ephniko y la Pachanga Son Squad, YDiz, Skinny Hendrix, Nag Champyons, LMS, Dinosaurs 'N Disasters, Alpha Q., Nokturno & Kr!zm, Cariñito, and Miami Swamp. Saturday, August 24, 10 p.m., Tobacco Road, 626 South Miami Ave., Miami; 305-374-1198; tobacco-road.com. Free entry before 9 p.m., $10 after 10 p.m. They call themselves "the underground of the underground," but at the Fishoutawata Music Festival, the Cornerstoners are joining forces with local musicians for a night of jam sessions and philanthropy with Stand Up for Kids, Urban Youth Greenfarmers, Universal Zulu Nation, the Miami Film Life Center,and Operation Helping Hands. Party for a cause and wake up with no regrets.
Scott Weiland. Saturday, August 24, 7 p.m., Revolution Live, 100 SW 3rd Ave., Fort Lauderdale; 954-449-1025; jointherevolution.net. Tickets cost $28.50 plus fees via ticketmaster.com. At first, it was Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver. Then the legendary top heavy metal vocalist went solo. Now, he's a one-man wolf pack who's touring the states with his backup band, the Wildabouts.

They were the perfect, dreamy boys girls would fantasize about in the start of the Millennium and now, over a decade since the peak of their stardom, Nick, Brian, Howie, AJ, and Kevin can still make panties drop. Hey, "In A World Like This," legendary boy bands like BSB will never die.
