Felix Da Housecat is prancing back to South Beach, readying his paws for a party attack at glossy superclub LIV.

A member of the electro elite, he first made a name for himself on the mid '80s Chicago dance scene. Over the past decade, the DJ-producer has worked closely with Miss Kittin, James Murphy, and Erick Morillo, among many others. Most recently, he joined Pete Tong to create the two-disc release All Gone Ibiza '11 on which the fancy feline reworked songs by Jamie Principle, Boys Noize, and Stephan Bodzin v. Marc Romboy. He also released his eighth studio effort Son of Analogue in the April issue of Mixmag, the first time the magazine has ever released a full-length album.

The following is a little meow mix to get your rough little kitty tongues ready for Felix Da Housecat's SoBe shitfest.

Everything has officially now gone Pete Tong. This cat's collab with the British radio show host offers a deepening of da "house" in Housecat.

This video couldn't be grosser if it displayed the worst of the internet's sleaziest nightlife photography. That kind of partying is passe. But you can't deny the power of a Perez Hilton cameo and Prince-alike by Felix.

"Madame Hollywood" featuring Miss Kittin is a sweet, end-of-the-night club song. Once you're all tweeked out and blowing up, this'll chill you out and bring a techno version of the gothic two-step out in ya.

With Neon Fever's vocals, this song speaks for the crazy-strong, crazy-crazy club girl in each and every one of us. Those ladies sing subversively for all of us women out on the town: "High heels to break your backs/Gold rings to crush your jaws/Short skirts that make you horny/Don't try to touch us baby." Listen up!

"Ready 2 Wear" is possibly the most perfect dance song in the world. Maybe it's the balance of New Wave, emotional lyrics, and synth action. "Ready 2 Wear" can play all night on repeat and people will still be inclined toward feelings and movement, over and over again.

Felix Da Housecat. Wednesday, August 24. LIV, 4441 Collins Ave., Miami Beach. The party starts at 11 p.m. and tickets cost $40 plus fees via wantickets.com. Call 305-674-4680 or visit livnightclub.com.
