Sir Elton returns.

It's been 12 years since the rock legend, gay icon, and member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire has sung about "hunting the horny back toad" in Miami.

He last played at the old Miami Arena. (And South Florida at Sunrise's then-BankAtlantic Center, now BB&T, in 2012.) But finally, he's coming back to the Magic City, with his All the Hits tour celebrating the 40th anniversary of Goodbye Yellow Brick Road and five decades of fabulous pop tunes.

And just in time for Florida's frenzy of gay weddings!

Though Sir Elton will be spending most of 2015 in Las Vegas, where he's got a chichi Caesars Palace residency, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer has set aside some dates for skipping down the "Yellow Brick Road" with "Bennie and the Jets" to cities and towns across America.

His All the Hits 2015 schedule kicks off in Hawaii before taking a monthlong Sin City break and then resuming with gigs in Pennsylvania, Florida, and yes, Vegas again.

The timing of Sir Elton's tour announcement and Miami comeback is serendipitous.

After all, Florida just wiped out its ban on gay weddings while the Rocket Man is still basking in the honeymoon glow of his December 21 marriage to 20-year partner David Furnish.

As John once said: Even the Son of God would support same-sex unions.

"If Jesus Christ was alive today, I cannot see him, as the Christian person that he was and the great person that he was, saying this could not happen."

J.C.'d probably sing along and cry during "Candle in the Wind" too.
