The "liquor-fueled love machine" that is the Electric Pickle has been bringing the best underground beats of the DJs of SAFE, Dirtybird, Crosstown Rebels, and others of the ilk to Wynwood since '09.

And now, Miami Beach will be introduced to the quality uhntz-uhntz the Pickle is known for when Do Not Sit on the Furniture (or Don't Sit, for short) opens July 3.

The new hot spot, owned by international DJ Behrouz and Electric Pickle partner Will Renuart, is located on Washington Avenue and 16th Street.

Unlike the Pickle, Resident Advisor reports that the new space "promises to be a cozy place [with a] capacity [of] 100, fitted with a custom-built sound system" and parties every weekend, starting on July 5 with resident DJ Behrouz on the decks and "an unannounced cast of locals" the next night.

But since it is Don't Sit's opening week, you won't have till Friday to get down and dirty.

Following the inaugural bash with Steve Bug is the Electric Pickle fam's Fourth of July celebration at the Delano Hotel pool bar with PillowTalk, Sammy D., William Renuart, and Tomas of Aquabooty. And in the spirit of Independence Day comes the afterparty at Don't Sit with a special PillowTalk DJ set.

Prior to Don't Sit, the vacant 423 16th Street spot belonged to Alfred Spellman and Keith Piaciello's successful yet short-lived lounge, Bella Rose, which closed its doors after only 16 months.

The opening of this latest Electric Pickle-affiliated venture comes as a surprise, especially after it went on a hiatus earlier this year due to some code compliance issues and minor renovations, stirring up speculation of closure or relocation.

But beat-bangers were put at ease when the Pickle once again lit up its neon-green North Miami Avenue sign in May for Tone of Arc's live show.

Don't Sit may be the craze right now, but the Electric Pickle lives on, friends, and its lineup is stronger than ever, with upcoming gigs from hard-hitters like Subb-An, Matt Tolfrey, and Christian Löffler.

So if you don't feel like dealing with all that beach hassle that is parking, there's always Don't Sit's big sister.

Do Not Sit on the Furniture Opening Party. With Steve Bug and William Renuart. Wednesday, July 3, 10 p.m., at Don't Sit, 423 16th St., Miami Beach; 305-450-3809. Tickets cost $15-$20 plus fees via residentadvisor.com.
