Über-producer Diplo and noisy electro-rockers Sleigh Bells have a Valentine's Day present for Miami.
It comes in the form of their joint Paradise Lost tour, hitting the Magic City on February 14 at Grand Central. The local date is part of an eight-city Florida sprint that'll take them to Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, and Fort Lauderdale, among other stops.
We can count this tour as a homecoming of sorts considering both Diplo and Sleigh Bells have strong South Florida (Broward and Palm Beach, to be exact) connections. And in his current roll as producer of the moment, Diplo visits Miami pretty often to clock in studio time.
The Miami date will take place a full three days after the Paradise Lost stop at Revolution. (It doesn't take that long to travel from Fort Lauderdale to Miami, does it?) Maybe, though, the lag is intentional, seeing that February 14 is the same day Sleigh Bells drops its sophomore release, Reign of Terror.
Paradise Lost Tour Dates
February 3 Florida Theater, Gainesville
February 4 The Ritz, Tampa
February 6 Vinyl Music Hall, Pensacola
February 7 The Moon, Tallahassee
February 9 Freebird Live, Jacksonville
February 10 Firestone, Orlando
February 11 Revolution, Fort Lauderdale
February 14 Grand Central, Miami
Anyway, it should be a really rad time, even though both Sleigh Bells and Diplo have played Grand Central in the last year.
