With Langerado acts like Arctic Monkeys and Ghostland Observatory rebooked at Broward venues, we suspected it was only a matter of time before Miami got some of the other defaulted acts. First one announced: Das Racist at Grand Central, which was confirmed yesterday by Poplife's Jake Jefferson via Facebook.

The October 9 show at Grand Central is the Brooklyn trio's first appearance in Miami, if we aren't mistaken. The alt hip-hoppers rose to prominence thanks to the jokey rap tune "Combination Pizza Hut and Taco Bell". But the strength of their mixtapes Shut Up, Dude and Sit Down, Man proved they were more than just a flash in the pan.

Das Racist is set to release its first full-length, Relax, on Tuesday, and thanks to the media's recent fascination with alternative hip-hop (see Tyler the Creator and Kreayshawn), you'll be hearing a lot more about these guys.

Das Racist with Danny Brown and Despot. Sunday, October 9. Grand Central, 697 N. Miami Ave., Miami. Doors open at 7 p.m. and tickets cost $15 via fla.vor.us or $20 at the door. Call 305-377-2277 or visit grandcentralmiami.com.
