The fight for Dada Land has stalled.

Yesterday, Olle Corneer and Stefan Engblom of absurdist Swedish electronic dance music duo Dada Life had their IDs seized by customs while trying to board an airplane to Miami.

They weren't slated for sets at Ultra Music Festival 2013. But lately, Corneer and Engblom have been leading a series of ridiculous international Dada Land rallies in support of "bananarchy" and "independence" and "freedom." And they planned to bring the fight to Miami Music Week.

On Tuesday, they tweeted: "Headed to Miami tmrw... in case you wondering what we're doing.. we are bringing a DADA LAND protest to the beach! plus maybe some shows ;)"

Now, though, it seems the Dada Life dudes are stuck in Sweden. And (maybe) even missing the entirety of MMW 2013.

A day after ecstatically tweeting about MMW, Corneer and Engblom headed for the Stockholm Arlanda Airport, looking to find a few drinking buddies:

But then while passing through security checkpoints, airport authorities cracked down on the Dada Land dream for reasons that still aren't quite clear:

Even the Dada Life dudes seem totally baffled by the situation:

Now the oppressors may have won this battle. But the fight for Dada Land rages and raves onward. Bananarchy! Independence! Freedom!

Hopefully Dada Life make it to the MIA.
