We expect things to really take off at Miami's only mid-size live venue, Grand Central, in the fall. There are plenty of rumors -- some that can be confirmed, others that are still a bit murky -- about who will be stopping by in the coming months. Well, here is one you can schedule: Canadian electronic musician Caribou will be performing live at Grand Central October 19.
Don't let the words "electronic musician" fool you. We aren't talking about a DJ here. Caribou is more akin to the Juan MacLean or Junior Boys. While he's a solo musician, expect a full band backing him up when performing live.
The Miami tour stop will also be an all-ages show (a first for Grand Central?). Tickets are $15 via Wantickets. No word on whose opening, but seeing how Panic Bomber is kicking things off for Crystal Castles date next month at the venue, we are inclined to think a local act may play as support.
After the jump, Caribou's video for "Odessa," off his latest release Swim.
