Sometimes we have to wonder what the hell people are on when they come up with these ideas. This week's nightlife lineup features a hit song about a dance that no one really understands, a cocktail benefit for boobies, and two DJs who seem a little bored.

Cali Swag District at Cameo Saturday
Unless you've been living under the Julia Tutle Causeway, you've heard the infectious hip-hop club hit "Teach Me How to Dougie."  What is this "dougie" they sing of? How is it done? If you've been scared to ask, fear no more. Crossfade has got you covered after the jump.

The dougie actually originated in Dallas as a snap dance. Cali Swag District describes its version as more "casual shoulder leans and elbow twists," while lyrical instructions only say to "put your arms out front, lean side to side." These directions don't exactly help the motionally challenged, so click here to see the boys teach the dance themselves and explain the concept behind the video. Presale tickets cost $20 via wantickets.com. Oh yeah, and just to make things more confusing, there's a remix.

Miami Goes Pink for Boobies
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. And with the Susan G. Komen Race for a Cure this Saturday at Bayfront Park, nightlife venues are throwing parties to help the cause. MIA at Biscayne will host a special happy hour this Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. where guests can pay a $5 donation at the door and receive complimentary Cotton Candy Cosmos. All proceeds will benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Meanwhile, all Blue Martini locations will go pink this Saturday as well, and ladies in the hue of the night will receive a complimentary glass of chandon. Times vary depending on location. Last, Cafeina Wynwood Lounge is also hosting a full month of activities and has set up a team to participate in Saturday's 5k run.

DJ Irie and Cedric Gervais Swap Genres at LIV Friday
This should be interesting. We touched on this event in our calendar and to add to the hype, LIV released a promotional video earlier this week. In the video, the two DJs play up each other's stereotypes, complete with bedazzled clothing, unnecessary sunglasses, and confusing accents. Honestly, though, we're still not sure if the joke is all that far from the truth.
