The Wolfsonian's latest exhibition, "What's on the Menu," on view until May 26, explores how restaurants and nightclubs at the beginning of the 1920s used graphic design to promote their business on print materials. The show, which features more than 50 items, including menus, matchbooks, and postcards, will transport you to a time when hospitality was immersed in glamour. Now, 25 years later, the Museum of Graffiti honors Crome's influential legacy with the exhibition "A Mouth Full of Crome." It's starting to feel a lot like Miami Art Week. Kicking things off is the Bass with its exhibition "Nam June Paik: the Miami Years." Organized around the museum's recent acquisition of Paik's TV Cello (2003), the show closely examines the artist's connection to Miami, who made South Florida his home until his death in 2006. The artist's local legacy culminated with the sculptural installations at Miami International Airport in 1990. The Historic Ward Rooming House opens its latest exhibition, "Conch House Hues," on Friday. Presented by Hampton Art Lovers, the show celebrates Roy Rolston, whose work immortalizes the Conch house style. Originating in Key West, the architectural style was developed by Bahamian immigrants, with houses resembling boats with timber framing. Evolving in the 1880s to balloon framing, it eventually extended to Miami, notably in the Coconut Grove and Overtown neighborhoods, exemplified by the early 1900s Historic Ward Rooming House.
