Maya Rudolph is returning to Studio 8H to host Saturday Night Live this weekend. It's the first time the Bridesmaids star will host since her run as a cast member -- and the first time she'll appear on the show since the death of Whitney Houston. And plenty of people already have their panties all in a bunch over the possibility of Rudolph doing her popular impression of Whitney Houston on the show. (NBC has neither confirmed or denied the rumors.)

Some may say it's in bad taste, since the late singer's funeral is scheduled earlier that day. But it's one of Rudolph's most well known impressions and it would be ridiculous if it wasn't included in a sketch. We like to think Whitney would look down at Rudolph and laugh every time she yells "Bobby-Brown!" And it'd be a better tribute than that split-second still shot of Houston's SNL appearance the show ran last week.

Check out Rudolph's Whitney Houston performance, and other great characters we hope to see Saturday night, after the jump.

Whitney Houston
Think of it as a tribute. A loud, shoulder-jiggling, white-pantsuit-wearing tribute.

Jodi Dietz, co-host of Bronx Beat

Rudolph already reprised this sketch with Poehler, Andy Samberg, and Betty

White -- and with good reason. It's hysterical. We think there's a good chance of it happening again. Let's keep

our fingers crossed.

Beertje Van Beers, co-host of Club Traxx

Rudolph's accent and commentary as a bizarre European co-host of a foreign

music show was genius. Plus, Fred Armisen is still a regular on Saturday

Night Live. They need to make this happen.

Megan, co-host of Wake Up, Wakefield!

Jimmy Fallon is still working in 30 Rock, so it wouldn't be a stretch to head over to Studio 6B and get

this sketch together. Boy-crazy Megan's obsession with Fallon's

character, Randy Goldman, was too funny. And honestly, what else is Rachel Dratch doing these days?

Beyonce on The Prince Show

If Club Traxx doesn't happen, this would be a solid replacement. Once

again, it's a possibility since Armisen is still a regular cast member.

And with all of the recent news about Blue Ivy Carter (Jay-Z and Beyonce

just trademarked their daughter's name), this could definitely be a

hilarious sketch.

Oprah Winfrey

"You get an Oprah skit! You get an Oprah skit!" This one is definitely a must. Hopefully, the writers feel the same way.
