See The Real Housewives of Miami's Season Two Trailer; Elsa Patton Collapses at the Real Housewives Premiere Party.
Season one of the Real Housewives of Miami was full of sexy and drama-filled moments that kept you tuning in week after week. Okay, that's a lie. It was a complete bore. When the reunion aired, we were 99 percent sure that was the last time we would ever see any of its stars.
Well, for fired wives Larsa Pippen and Christy Rice, it was. But the rest are back, with a new production crew that's brought success to Bravo's other Housewives franchises -- and four fabulous new ladies, too.
All the stars, both old and new, partied at The Forge last weekend to celebrate the upcoming premiere of season two. We got up close with the ladies -- sometimes, uh, really close -- to find out "all the gossips."
Returning stars include "Mayor of Miami" Lea Black, Brazilian bombshell Adriana de Moura, PR powerhouse Marysol Patton, and her mother, the real star of the show, Mama Elsa Patton. Cuban Barbie Alexia Echevarria will appear in a recurring role, due to her son being in a terrible car accident before filming began. But she wants you to know that she loves the city of Hialeah. Now, for the new broads. We have Lisa Hochstein, the wife of a plastic surgeon; lawyer and chef Ana Quincoces; celebrity dentist Karent Sierra; and supermodel Joanna Krupa.
Sunday evening, all the ladies came together on the red carpet at Miami Beach's The Forge. All the ladies were dressed to the nines, with makeup rolled on like paint, and when they were forced to take a group photo, there was obvious tension. We saw Lea rolling her eyes at Lisa, Joanna avoiding Adriana like the plague, and Marysol doing her best to avoid a nip slip.
But the real drama started once we all got inside. Just an hour or so into the soiree, Mama Elsa had to be treated by paramedics after fainting by the bar. While Marysol personally told us the mother of reality TV is OK, partygoer Bob Gramatges was not surprised at all by the incident. He told us, "It's no wonder. It was hot as balls in there." Do Bravo budgets not cover air conditioning?
So now that Mrs. Patton is home, safe and sound on her bear skin rug, we can focus on what really matters: the return of the Real Housewives of Miami. For a sneak peek at what is to come, check out our coverage of the red carpet for yourself.
