The Ramil and Pita Show II at Magic City Casino: Ramil and Pita, the Miami-bred comedy duo, is set to return to Magic City Casino Friday for its second showcase of standup and sketch comedy. These Cuban-Americans are best known for their goofy characters, jokes about Cuban moms and Hialeah life, and music. Pita scored a huge local hit with his band Los Primeros and their song “Eslow Motion,” which is about as Miami as pan cubano and the phrase ¿Oye, que bola? The show begins at 9 p.m. and is 21 and up.
Pokemon Pub Crawl at Redbar Brickell: If you're among the millions of Pokémon Go players in the United States, you've likely become obsessed with hunting for Pikachu and Jigglypuff all over town. But wandering the streets alone while staring at your phone makes you look like a lonely loser at best, and, at worst, as recent robberies have proven, it can make you a sitting Psyduck for the criminal element. Better to catch 'em all with a group of friends by your side. And some booze. This Friday, the newly formed Pokémon Go South Florida invites you to do just that at its Pokémon Go Pub Crawl Meetup. Starting a Redbar Brickell (52 SW Tenth St., Miami), the group will converge upon local bars to do two things: drink alcohol and kick the asses of whatever competing team members dare to step into the nearest gym (virtually, of course). The PokéParty begins at 9 p.m., and it's free to participate.
Shabbat at the Yard at Wynwood Yard: Each month, the Wynwood Yard restaurant brings hungry Jews together to celebrate their day of rest, Saturday, with Shabbat at the Yard. The joint cooks up a delightful menu with OneTable, an org that helps people "Shabbat together." This month, Mediterranean-inspired, seasonal dishes created by the healthy Manna Life for Food team will fill plates. After some sweetly savory challah bread from Zak the Baker, expect a three-course meal that includes eggplant tempeh moussaka, mango custard pie, and raw falafel with a toasted superfood arepa, macadamia hummus, probiotic tzatziki, and baba ghanouj. There will also be wine, beer, and a tangy hibiscus cocktail to cool you down. It'll be like going to the Holy Land without having to leave the States. Shabbat at the Yard begins at 7 p.m. The cost is $46.

Overtown Music and Arts Festival: If there ever were a time to relive the best days of Overtown's past, it's the annual Overtown Music and Arts Festival. The all-day affair erects a stage in the Overtown Business District (NW Third Avenue between Ninth and 11th Streets) and fills it with international Grammy-nominated acts. This year's lineup includes performances by
Miami Music Club Featuring Drew McDowall at ICA: Miami Music Club this Saturday features Scottish electronic producer Drew McDowall, famous for getting dark and minimal in groups Psychic TV and Coil, as well as for remixing Nine Inch Nails. His mysterious musical musings will be balanced by similar work from Sarasota's Ortrotasce, Croissant Park's Möthersky, and Miami's own DJ Ramiro. The show goes down at 8 p.m. Tickets cost $10.
Pokémon Go Bar Crawl at Wood Tavern: Another one? You betcha. This crawl takes players through the Wynwood bar scene and, according to organizers, "shall travel from bar to bar across the land." Huzzah! The crawl begins at 9 p.m.

Beat the Heat 5K at Bayside Marketplace: Running superstore Fit2Run will host a free 5K by the bay this Sunday. The run will kick off at Bayside Marketplace and head through Bayfront Park and toward Brickell. After you’ve perspired for 3.1 miles, you can hit up the postrace party. There’ll be music, food, games, and raffle giveaways. And no need to feel self-conscious about your sweat. It’s July — everyone else will be just as juicy. The event begins Sunday at 7 a.m. at Fit2Run at Bayside Marketplace.
Girls Rock Camp Grand Finale Showcase at the Fillmore: Founded in 2014, Girls Rock Camp is on a mission “to promote self-esteem, community, and creative expression for young women and girls in Miami.” The weeklong camp includes instruction, practice, and songwriting workshops in a variety of instruments and disciplines. It all culminates in the upcoming Grand Finale Showcase. This Sunday, girls ages 8 to 17 will make like Marceline from Adventure Time and, to paraphrase the bass-playing vampire, lay down the most savory licks at the Fillmore Miami Beach. Doors to the all-ages show open at 4 p.m.
Ice Cream for Grownups at Wynwood Brewing Company: It's hot outside. You want to cool off. You probably also wanna get a buzz on. Pop's Porter Ice Cream, created by Zeke from 305 Brewing, lets you do both. Wynwood Brewing Company will give away free samples starting at 3 p.m. till it's all gone.
