Let the comically oversized countdown clock begin. One week from today, a flock of geeks will descend upon the Miami Beach Convention Center for Supercon Florida. As Miami’s largest comic book, anime, gaming, TV, and film convention, Supercon is the buffet nerds all over Florida hunger for.

Taking place June 25th through the 28th, Supercon features four days of wall-to-wall entertainment sure to satiate all tastes. This year’s event features some huge names in the world of Sci-Fi, superheroes, and overall geekdom. Highlights include: Kevin Smith and his crew of actors from the View Askewniverse – Jason Mewes, Brian O’Halloran, Marilyn Ghigliotti, and Joey Lauren Adams – participating in a series of panels and Q&A’s; Also set to grace the convention floor are Peter Mayhew and Billy Dee Williams of Star Wars fame, and other well known genre actors such as Karen Gillian (Doctor Who, Guardians of the Galaxy), Hayley Atwell (Captain America, Agent Carter) and Eddie McClintock (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Warehouse 13) among others.

In addition to star-gazing and photo-ops with legendary comic book creators such as John Romita Jr. and Jim Shooter, festival goers can participate in costume and talent contests, party with the Supergirls (a scintillating group of professional cosplay ladies), and attend a full blown film festival. They can even spend their Friday and Saturday nights at two naughty sounding events: Doctor After Dark: Doctor Double Dare and The Shimmy Shake Revue: Nerd Burlesque Show.

Four day, three day, two day, and single day passes are all still available on Florida Supercon’s website. They’ll run you $85, $75, $58, and $35 respectively. So dust off the old lightsaber and fire up the T.A.R.D.I.S., and prepare for a weekend of weird, wacky, and wonderful nerdiness.

Supercon takes place between June 25-28 at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Visit floridasupercon.com
