The Sandman wants you to be his extra.
As an aspiring fame monster, you could move to Lala land, pose for a nudie mag, and snag an agent. Or you could roll up to some random university in Fort Lauderdale, star in a sea of extras, and wait for the director to single you out. What? It happened to Courtney Cox, spotted in the crowd at Boss concert, and Pamela Anderson, who was cam candy at a football game. But perhaps those faux-beginning stories are part of the PR package when you land an agent.

In any event, a movie, starring Adam Sandler, Katie Holmes, and Al Pacino, is filming in South Florida next month, and they're looking for hundreds of extras. Read on for a chance at stardom.

Despite its cast, the movie Jack & Jill is not an awesome Billy

Madison/Scarface /Dawson's Creek threesome. It's a comedy in which Sandler plays both a man and his

own twin sister (who looks like a poor man's ugly Kathy Griffin). If you're a

fan of Sandler's last flick Grown Ups, you'll be stoked to hear that this

film is also directed by Dennis Dugan, who we blame for the

embarrassment that was I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry. Hey Adam, think

you can steer back to the awesomeness that was Punch Drunk Love? No?

Love cash too much?

Anyway, back to you being famous. Next weekend, Sande Alessi Casting, who worked on roles for Pirates of the Caribbean, Glee, The Social Network, is holding a

casting call for "hundreds of fashionable looking males and females of

all ages and ethnicities; singles, couples, and real families (including

children of all ages)."

Filming begins November and all extras will be

paid actual money ($100 for ten hours of labor). Since 13% of Miamians

ain't got no job, we expect the casting call to be freaking packed. To stand out, we suggest you bring a

current 3x5 color photo of yourself and wear your best upscale, but casual,

cruise wear. It's time to reinforce some Florida sterotypes.

The casting call takes place Saturday, October 23, from 11:00 a.m. to

3:00 p.m. and Sunday, October 24, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Keiser

University (Lobby, 1500 NW 49th St., Ft. Lauderdale). Visit

sandealessicasting.com.
