It's that time of year again: LeSutra's Model Beach Volleyball Tournament hits the sands this weekend for some good old-fashioned competition. One of the most anticipated events among Miami's who's who -- and your average local meatheads -- this famous two-day volleyball tournament pits Miami's top modeling agencies against one another for a superhuman display of good looks and chiseled physiques.

Presented by Wildfox, the event will see models outfitted in the brand from head to toe, and the VIP tent will serve guests LeSutra's bubbly vodka liqueurs. The Catalina Hotel returns as the official hotel sponsor, and a "model takeover" party will happen at its sister property, Posh Hotel.

With the support of the Miami Beach Visitors & Convention Authority, Model Beach is free and open to the public, and it kicks off with a party at Wall with DJ Irie Thursday night. Supermodel Nina Agdal of Sports Illustrated fame will teach Super Sweat, a live spinning class to benefit the Irie Foundation, a cause near and dear to the model's heart. "I am so thrilled I can do my part in the Irie Foundation's mission to improve the graduation rate among young students in Miami," said Agdal. You can purchase VIP tickets to watch Agdal sweat at eventbrite.com.

Super Sweat will be held directly on the beach at noon, so this is an excellent opportunity to be reminded how out of shape you are and feel good about it anyway. The main event, held Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., has drawn an impressive roster of sponsors, including Jimmy John's (yes), Red Bull, and Evian, whose products will be free for tickeholders.

As customary, New Times will be there, rubbing elbows and snapping photos for your internet model-stalking pleasure, so check back in next week for the coverage.

Model Beach Volleyball Tournament hits Lummus Park (Ocean Drive, Miami Beach) February 7 and 8 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
