If you don't own a Gold Saturn drug-happy graphic T-shirt (prescription pills in the shape of a peace sign, happy face with weed eyes, pills in the shape of a skull wearing neon green sunglasses) or a turban-and-headband hybrid (the turband) you're way behind on your trend-hunting. Well, two years behind. New Times called it the best one of 2009, Paper and Nylon long-ago declared approval, and Jon Acosta's designs were even featured on the fad-launching warp hole known as Khloe Kardashian's head.

But if you're looking to catch up, this Saturday's Wynwood Art Walk is a good opportunity. The local designer's studded and patterned head pieces and minimalist, happy T-shirts and bodysuits will be offered at 25-75% discount for the first time.

And true to the brand's free-spirited, wild-child reputation, the pop-up shop will also be a party of sorts. It will occupy the grounds of Villa 221, a historic Spanish villa that is more than 100 years old, and there will be a cash bar. An outdoor deck will be turned into a lounge area. Jon Acosta assures us drinking games will be played, and food truck grub will be had. And Erin Geerman, a local tarot card spiritualist, will be conducting readings.

"I design for the free-spirited individual: those who want to be comfortable and chic at the same time," Acosta says about the fun atmosphere he wants to inspire at his one-day shop. The last time the Miami public saw Gold Saturn it was at a Grand Central fashion show that featured Rosie Herrera's modern dance company frolicking through the crowd with balloons in their hair, elaborate drag queen ensembles, and mischievous clowns. So there's no telling whether this day-to-night shopping event turns into an all-day arty bash.

Items on sale will include those from the current "road trip" collection (pictured above), as well as all previous collections. There will be T-shirts, tank tops, dresses, and turbands.

Gold Saturn Pop-Up Shop will take place Saturday, April 9, from 2 to 10 p.m. at Villa 221 (221 NE 17th St., Miami). Admission is free. Visit goldsaturn.com.
