It’s no surprise; it’s been talked about for a while, but today President Obama officially announced that his administration would allow for unlimited travel and money transfer to Cuba by Cuban Americans. The administration will also look in to easing other restrictions, though it is a long, long way from normalizing relations with the island nation.

According to both the AP and The Miami Herald, Cuban Americans will also be able to send gift parcels to family members with items including clothes, hygiene items, and other basic necessities.
