Good people recognize this. But a local radio host on 790 AM "the Ticket," Zack Duarte, is instead trying to rat out the poor employees of a Miami Dunkin' Donuts who closed five minutes early on Christmas Day. He had an online meltdown yesterday because he couldn't get coffee and doughnuts made by workers earning near-poverty-level wages. Duarte later explained he was trying to buy for 790 AM sports-radio host Brian "the Beast" London, who himself was hosting a radio program on Christmas.
"Pretty fucked up of @dunkindonuts to close early," Duarte tweeted in the middle of Christmas Day. "It’s 1 pm as I’m writing this. Doors locked at 12:55 even though
Not satisfied, he then tweeted out the exact address of the Dunkin' Donuts in question.
18801 NW 2nd Ave

And then, in one of the biggest dick moves in Christmas history, he direct-messaged the official Dunkin' Twitter account — aiming to rat out this location to the corporate office. This could conceivably have led to workers getting fired on Christmas Day. He also posted about another location, which allegedly closed at 12:30 instead of 1 p.m. as
"Let’s see how @dunkindonuts
Honestly, if employees ditched the depressing, hideous confines of a Dunkin' Donuts to get home to their families on Christmas a few minutes early, that would be fine with most people. But Duarte wasn't done! He then posted a sarcastic tweet blasting the chain that didn't pour coffee that he very easily could have made himself:Let’s see how @dunkindonuts responds . Balls in your court now. You guys screwed @MiamiRadioBeast pic.twitter.com/QA7r1A5etu

And then, after this pathetic temper tantrum, he tweeted that millennials are, apparently, a "soft generation." This would be correct if he were referencing himself and not those who had to work the 6 a.m. Christmas Day shift at Dunkin'. (This writer used to work the morning shift at a local bakery and can confirm that selling doughnuts and coffee on holidays can be grueling.)America runs on @dunkindonuts which closes 20 minutes early.

The only "soft" person in this scenario is, of course, a local radio host having an online meltdown because someone wouldn't sell him some chocolate cake. Duarte is now getting absolutely roasted online, as he should be.We are a softttttt generation

Probably missed the part where the other location was closed at 1230 but that’s ok. Also, it wasn’t for me, it was for my boss :) merry Xmas

Coffee was for my coworkers and their other location, which also stated it was open until 1, was closed at 1230

So Duarte is rightfully being excoriated online for being a petty, low-level Grinch. He hasn't responded to New Times' tweets yet. Bah humbug! And their families were expecting them after 1
