College football players getting into fights on the field? It happens. College football players getting into fights in their downtime? Yeah, it happens too. College football players attacking former players of the opposing team immediately after a game? That has allegedly happened too, now.
Reggie Myles, a former defensive back for the Alabama Crimson Tide, alleges that current Florida Gator Dominqiue Easly attacked him, completely unprovoked, after the Gators loss to the Tide last Saturday.
"It was based on the way he was behaving when we were trying to sort everything out," UFPD Sgt. Steve Wilder toldThe Tuscaloosa News
. "It's stemmed from him being attacked. The battery, him being battered, is a separate case. The charges against him were entirely based on his disorderly behavior following that, and I understand he was extremely agitated. He'd just been hit from behind by an unknown assailant, and was scraped up pretty good. I understand him being upset. Unfortunately, we couldn't get him to calm down."
