Uncle Luke, the man whose booty-shaking madness made the U.S. Supreme Court stand up for free speech, gets as nasty as he wants to be for Miami New Times. This week, Luke assesses the lack of faith in the world.

On February 20, the holy spirit lifted 82-year-old Brownsville resident Emma Anderson. The frail senior citizen belted out gospel hymns as she rode the Metrorail home. Satan and his demons must have heard her angelic singing. A guard from 50 State Security, the company hired by Miami-Dade Transit to watch the stations and rail-cars, brutally yanked her off the train, causing her to slip and fall on the hard concrete floor of the Brickell Station.

In a grainy video first aired by WSVN, the guard enters the train and tells Anderson: "You're getting off here. Let's go." He then grabs her bag, but Anderson doesn't let go. She falls and, according to WSVN, ends up bruising her shoulder. In a prepared statement, transit spokeswoman Karla Damien claimed Anderson's "singing was causing a disturbance to other passengers and impeding important train announcements from being heard."

Only a non-believer would find an elderly woman praising the lord "disturbing." What Anderson went through is another sign of the devil winning his war against God. These days, you can't be an openly devout Christian without being ridiculed, scorned, and discriminated.

Tim Tebow has been made fun of because he kneels and praises Christ after scoring a touchdown or leading his team to victory. Ray Lewis was called all sorts of vile names, including murderer (a crime he's never been convicted of), because he evoked God's name throughout the Baltimore Ravens' Super Bowl run. I call it Jesus racism.

You're better off being a cynical atheist or devil worshiping member of the Illuminati. Just look at the entertainment industry. Hip-hop artists are getting rich by evoking images and referencing the evil secret society in their music. Hollywood is busy making television shows and movies like True Blood and Twilight that portray vampires, werewolves, and other unGodly creatures as beautiful sex symbols.

Even the Catholic Church has been infiltrated by evil with all the scandals rocking the Vatican, from high-ranking priests molesting little boys to cardinals covering up the sexual abuses.

Things are so bad that Pope Benedict XVI became the first pontiff in 600 years to retire from his post. When he announced his resignation last month, the pope said he didn't have any fight left in him. No wonder Anderson felt compelled to sing about her Heavenly Father.

We need him now more than ever.
