Support the independent voice of Miami and help keep the future of New Times free.

Every March, Miami is seized by total EDM insanity, reverberating with bass, techno, house, trance, and everything electronic.

With Ultra Music Festival (this year expanding to two weekends), Winter Music Conference, and Miami Music Week all falling within the same ten-day span, the uhntz-uhntz will be (almost) inexhaustible.

Deadmau5, Tiësto, Calvin Harris, Afrojack, Kaskade, and Armin Van Buuren, just to name a few, are gonna be headlining Ultra 2013. Of course, though, Swedish House Mafia will probably steal the show, as UMF marks the Scandinavian supertrio's last show ever.

For the rest of us who were S.O.L. and failed to snag tickets for the largest and possibly the best EDM festival on Planet Earth: Don't you worry child. It's WMC and MMW, which means the party possibilities are endlessly epic.

Whether catching Maceo Plex at Mansion, Axwell at Story, Paul Oakenfold at Arkadia, or your favorite local DJs at one of the many pool parties going down at the Clevelander, Delano, Surfcomber, Shelborne, or Shore Club, we've got you covered with where to go, who to see, and what to do during WMC.

Keep Miami New Times Free... Since we started Miami New Times, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Miami, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Miami with no paywalls.
