It's not the first place that comes to mind when you think European vacation, but it does offer beautiful Mediterranean beaches and old-world romance.

Oh, and it's the exclusive home of Ultra Europe for the next five years.

Yes, the "largest party on planet Earth" is nesting on the sands of Split and Hvar, Croatia, for a three-day EDM extravaganza during the weekend of July 12, 13, and 14, 2013. The festival is expected to lure 60,000 revelers and pump more than $20 million Euros into the Croatian economy between now and 2017 when the contract will be up for renewal.

Ultra Europe's debut is scheduled to kick off just after the expected inclusion of Croatia into the Eurpoean Union. The Ultra Worldwide people are pretty stoked, adding that this new deal with the country is perceived as "one of the most important investments in the Croatian tourism and entertainment industry in recent times."

"Ultra Europe will undoubtedly be one of the most important music events in the region in 2013," said Joe Basic, director of Croatian co-organizers Adria MM Production, in a press release.

"There is no question that Ultra Europe will make a significant and positive impact on the region ... I am confident that the beautiful Adriatic Sea and Islands of the area will be a perfect setting for Ultra Europe and will attract many to come and experience all that both Ultra and Croatia have to offer."

Time can only tell whether this fes will cut back on awkward flag-waving Europeans who make the annual trip to Ultra Music Festival in Miami every March.

Nah, who are we kidding ... They'll always be there.
