Alright, if you're like me, hearing the news that Rage Against the Machine are playing shows together for the first time in 7 years is huge. It's been too long since Rage put out a project, and rumors of a new album coming out toward the end of this year are bittersweet. Bring us a new album now!!
Regardless, it's important to realize the power that these guys brought to both rock and hip-hop simultaneously unlike any other fusion group in history. Punk kids and hip-hop kids finally found the common denominator through the tunes that Rage cranked out in the 90s and if they'll get back together officially, and keep recording, I can't help but think of the impact that will have on generations of kids who missed them the first time around.
Anyway, it's Tuesday, and you know how we do so it's time to set it off. Turn your work speakers up. --Jonathan Cunningham
