Support the independent voice of Miami and help keep the future of New Times free.

The United States of America is totally addicted to the white stuff.

Strung out, fat, unfocused, cranky, fiending -- we are a nation of shrubby slaves to the cane, cube, and spoonful whose bodies (and minds) could never be called beach-ready.

But there's a cure for our sucrose-, lactose-, and fructose-laden woes ... No Sugar Added, a two-day, carb-free dance detox going down at Nikki Beach Miami during Miami Music Week.

Your chief EDM instructors will be trance expert Paul Oakenfold and techno sage Carl Craig, alongside 71 other slim and sleek electro types like Radio Slave, Heidi, Maya Jane Coles, Miss Kittin, Joachim Garraud, Designer Drugs, Felix Da Housecat, and Miami's own Troy Kurtz.

See the cut for No Sugar Added 2012's full lineup.

Keep Miami New Times Free... Since we started Miami New Times, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Miami, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism.
