Mixtape Of The Week: Poe Boy, I.M.G., and Strong Arm DJs - Welcome 2 Miami

Some of us are still recovering from Memorial Day Weekend, and we're still sifting through the annual deluge of mixtapes that the weekend brings. Poe Boy, I.M.G. and Strong Arm DJs (Entice, Kronik, and Mister Hustla) used the weekend to flaunt their diverse roster of artists in a 15-track mixtape compilation.

Welcome 2 Miami is filled with recent songs by everyone everyone from top-selling Flo Rida all the way down to newcomer Brianna. While most of the tracks have already been released at some point or another in the past couple months, you'll most likely still find something that's new to you at the very least.

Flo Rida is definitely the most prominent artist here, but surprisingly, he doesn't overwhelm the tape. His biggest contributions come early: His recently leaked "Fresh I Stay" collaboration with Lil Wayne and Jovi Rockwell kicks things off, which is then followed by his advertising-laced "Zoosk Girl" and a remix over Nicki Minaj's "Your Love."

Billy Blue, Brisco, Git Fresh, and Whites Frames all scored numerous placements on Welcome 2 Miami, but the star of the tape definitely has to be Brianna. A former protégé of Missy Elliot, she's established herself as a soon-to-be timeless female MC. Simply put, she can spit, displaying her skills by adding her own lyrical prowess to hits by Eminem and Trey Songz. Brianna's drawn many comparisons to Jacki-O, but she's in a different category, and with a little more experimentation in her song choices, she definitely has a bright future in the rap game.
