DJ EFX has been heavy on the South Florida mixtape scene and definitely left a mark on creating highly demanded instrumental mixtapes - as well as "Best Of" mixtapes. And more recently over the past couple years, EFX has been driven in the "Music Video DVDs" market that not a lot of people dive in at his level. Top quality DVDs packed with all the latest high quality music videos to play at home, or even in your car.

Mixtapes and mix DVDs aside, you can catch DJ EFX getting it in live every week at Mansion for their weekly We Rock Hip-Hop Friday nights. Just last week they had Yo Gotti, and for the next two weeks they have DJ Khaled and Snoop Dogg hosting events on separate weeks.

Even though he still holds ground to his hip-hop roots, DJ EFX has definitely stepped in to the world of mixed and open format. And with that, comes his Studio Session mixtape. There aren't many open format mixtapes around, at least not locally. But EFX releases this one online and on the streets pressed about 20,000 copies.

It's about 36 minutes of nothing but uptempo sounds to keep you focused at the gym, determined during your daily jog and/or sane during your daily traffic battles. The mix starts off with Usher's Pitbull assisted "DJ Got Us Falling In Love". A dance-fused R&B record that appropriately sets off the tone for everyone from Major Lazer, Afrojack, Eva Simons, Enrique Iglesias (with Pitbull again), Ludacris, and more to fill up this tightly put mix.
