Last week Crossfade got invited to Greenwich Studios in North Miami where Univision is filming their new mega reality talent competition Viva El Sueño. Univision was holding an industry preview of the program for big-wig executives, rich, important and famous people.

The show premiered last night. It has an American Idol-type premise, but the twist is that all of the contestants are actual professional musicians who are trying to take their careers to the next step.

Viva El Sueño features contestants from all over Latin America, the United States, and Hispanic Europe. Watch as 14 entrants, one of them a group, battle for musical supremacy on a worldwide stage. Viva El Sueño airs every Sunday at 8 p.m.  on Univision.

And now check out our exclusivo behind the scenes look at Viva El Sueño with red carpet, backstage, and orchestra pit photos of all the contestants plus other Spanish TV celebrities. Enjoy.

Meet the cast. First we have Donnatella and Fela. Donnatella is from Puebla, Mexico and lives in Mexico City.

Fela is from Mexico City and started her career at the age of 9 on the show Barnie.

Next up we've got Cristina, and to her right, Diego Dibós. Cristina is from Chihuaha, Mexico, and currently lives in Dallas, Texas.

Diego is from Lima, Peru and currently lives there.

On the left we have Bárbara from Santiago, Chile. She's a songwriter with no kids who currently lives in Mexico City.

The next two shots represent the four members of Zone D'Tambora, a supergroup from Puerto Rico put together by Latin Grammy winner Elvis Crespo.

These ladies are Yessica and Zuly. Yessica is from Reynosa, Tamaulipas. Mexico. Her style of music is "grupero y romántico."

Zuly is from Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, Mexico. She is a pop songwriter.

These two dudes are Sergio Antonio and Yarka Miller. Sergio was born in Los Angeles and currently lives in Tucson, Arizona. He's a songwriter and has been a professional musician for the past two years.

Yarka Miller is from Madrid, Spain and has been working as a musician for 10 years.

Here are some of the folks we've met so far...

Pictured here on the far left is Ana Isabelle from Humacao, Puerto Rico. She is a pop ballad singing song writer.

Sorry for the lack of focus on this shot, but I think the expressions on their faces balance it out. These three dudes are (left to right) Fedro, Ojeda, and Paco De Maria.

Fedro is from Navojoa, Sonora, Mexico. He performs rock and pop-alternative style usic.

Ojeda was born in Mexico City, but he's a local now, living in Miami. He fucks with that grupero music, "norteño y Duranguense."

Paco De Maria is from Ciudad Obregón, Sonora, Mexico and currently lives in Mexico City. His specialty is big band, jazz, and romantic ballad type music.

Now let's check out how the red carpet looked on the way in to the show.
