There are, however, those parties and gallery openings where a fortunate photographer can point and shoot. Every week, in collaboration with WorldRedEye, New Times brings you a solid recap of all the recent experiences you may have missed around Miami. June 12: One Epic Summer Pool Party Hosted by Steven Bauer With Dennis Rodman at Epic Hotel
The Epic Hotel’s pool was overflowing with bubbly and bikini babes for the One Epic Summer pool party, hosted by Steven Bauer. Partygoers including Dennis Rodman let loose and enjoyed the wild Sunday funday. 

June 15: The First Monday in May Screening & Q&A With Karolina Kurkova and Sarah Arison at Faena
Faena Rose hosted an exclusive screening of The First Monday in May, followed by a conversation with producer Sarah Arison, moderated by supermodel Karolina Kurkova. Following the creation of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s best-attended fashion exhibition in history, “China: Through the Looking Glass” and the collision of high fashion and celebrity at the Met Gala — one of the biggest global fashion events chaired every year by Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour — The First Monday in May explores whether fashion should be viewed as art.
June 16: Miami Through the Eyes of Velocity — Official Launch Celebration
Velocity, a last-minute reservations and mobile payment application for restaurants (think Uber for eateries), celebrated its official Miami launch last Thursday by curating a night of Miami’s best hospitality experiences: Miami Through the Eyes of Velocity. Live in seven cities across three countries with more than 1,000 restaurant partners worldwide, Velocity is now live in Miami with 75 of the best restaurants in town. The Miami Through the Eyes of Velocity: Official Launch Party began with a reception for 100 young professionals at WeWork Lincoln Road, with craft cocktails by Craft Social Club and Mediterranean bites by Byblos. The reception was followed by a Mediterranean dinner series and private viewing of NBA Finals Game 6 in Byblos’ swanky new venue, the Lounge at Byblos. All in attendance booked, paid, and split their bill using Velocity App. After the game, the party continued South of Fifth at Craft Social Club with beats by Miami’s DJ Coco Hara. June 16: Tanqueray Hosts “Gin & Juice” Brunch Celebrating the American Black Film Festival at Bagatelle Miami Beach
Tanqueray hosted a posh Gin & Juice brunch, one of the brand’s national brunch series taking place throughout the summer, to celebrate the American Black Film Festival (ABFF) at Bagatelle Miami Beach. Honorary guest and famed producer, actor, and director Chris Spencer, joined by his closest friends and family, attended in honor of the special event. Haute Living was the exclusive media partner of the event. 

June 16: Raekwon and N.O.R.E at Wall Thursdays
Wall was feeling the hip-hop vibes last Thursday as Raekwon gave a surprise performance. N.O.R.E was also in the building getting down with fellow revelers. 

June 16: Lil Uzi Vert Official After Party With Cedric the Entertainer and Natalie La Rose at Story
Story was a movie last week as Lil Uzi Vert, Cedric the Entertainer, and Natalie La Rose joined partygoers for an epic night out at the Miami hot spot. 

June 17: Hyde Beach Fourth Anniversary
Leave it to Hyde Beach to celebrate its fourth year as a Miami staple with a blowout bash presented by Perrier-Jouët. Natty Rico brought the funk with his dope sounds as partiers raged the night away under the stars and toasted to another epic night. 

June 17: Compass Celebrates “Skybridge” Multi-City Living and Lifestyle at W South Beach
The mTkalla Team of Compass presented its “Skybridge” multi-city living and lifestyle event series, focused on the U.S. triangle cities of New York, Miami, and Los Angeles (plus expansion to other key international metropolises) with an inaugural celebration featuring Miami “live-work-play” at W South Beach. The invitation-only, experiential event incorporated elements of lifestyle, culture, art, fashion, and technology, delighting attendees ranging from real-estate professionals, local clients, and businesspeople to bloggers and out-of-town prospects. The evening’s innovative festivities included mixology recipes complements of Unique Syrups with Tito’s Handmade Vodka; techno house sounds by DJ La Trice; a swimwear presentation by designer Keva J; a Cultured Magazine ad unveiling with a custom edible “dess-art” display by CanVis Events; an animated photo booth with summer-themed props; and, to emphasize travel in style, a swag bag of TSA carry-on luxe beauty and grooming gifts from Garnier, Ouidad, Frederick Benjamin, Narciso Rodriguez Parfums, and Bliss Spa.

Partygoers, including New England Patriots star Rob “Gronk” Gronkowski and the Baltimore Ravens' Antoine Cason, kicked off their weekend by turning up at Rockwell. 

June 17: Laidback Luke at Story
Laidback Luke took to the Story DJ booth with his signature style that put everyone in a good mood and reminded them why he’s one of the biggest names in the business. 

June 18: Craft Social Club Saturdays
Craft Social Club was full of sexy babes sipping cocktails and dancing to sick beats, creating the ultimate party scene this past Saturday. 

June 19: Young Thug, Flo Rida, and Maino at LIV on Sunday
LIV on Sunday never fails to be one of the hottest, star-studded nights of the week. This past Sunday, Young Thug, Maino, and Uncle Murda took over the stage and gave unforgettable performances that had revelers such as Flo Rida raging until the early-morning hours.

June 19: Tyson Beckford at Sundays at the Deck at Island Gardens
Actor and model Tyson Beckford celebrated Sunday funday with fellow Miami partygoers by lounging at the Deck at Island Gardens.
