New York is known as the city that never sleeps, but Miami has earned the right to share the title.

During the day, we work — whether at our jobs or on our tans. At night, we play — sometimes until the sun comes up. All that partying translates to some pretty serious bouts of the munchies.

When hunger calls after the clock strikes midnight, you don't need to head to Denny's or Taco Bell in desperation. The Magic City offers plenty of fine late-night grub. This is why we've put together this list of spots serving into the wee hours, so you don't have to do the digging — just the eating.

Note: Late-night hours are subject to change, so it's best to call ahead.

When you're hankering to soak up the alcohol, nothing is more efficient than a pizza. Steve's serves up the quintessential "New York" slice: large, gooey, and cheesy, with a sweet marinara sauce and a slight slick of oil. There's nothing fancy about Steve's, with its Formica tables riddled with the graffiti of decades gone by, but when it's past midnight, and you require a few slices and a Coke, it's not about appearances. 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 3 a.m. Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Sunday.
