Meet the Jew Tang Clan, Miami's Newest Clique

When Notorious Nastie releases a new music video, brace yourself. You really never know what you're going to get. His work ranges from the bloody "Jesus Was a Jewish Zombie" to the Iggy Azalea parody "I'm So Nasty." It's brash, rude, offensive, and, well, just plain nasty. And he wouldn't have it any other way. 

Notorious Nastie's most recent music video, the Jew Tang Clan, is just as absurd and unique as anything he's ever done. Nastie is hard to pin down. Even his own description of himself reads more like a grocery list. "First and foremost, I am a Sephardic Jewban from the MIA," he says. "I have been called a nightlife impresario, actor, writer, entertainer, and rapper."

"I was born Nassie; it comes from the Hebrew word meaning prince," he says. "I changed it to Nastie so dumb drunk girls could quote Janet Jackson lyrics to me for the rest of my life."

He calls his most recent musical venture the Jew Tang Clan. Their first video features Nastie bouncing around Wynwood with his crew, including Miami's own Otto Von Schirach. "We met many years ago in Miami," Nastie remembers. "Even though Otto is not Jewish, he is very spiritual, and we became dear friends and have traveled the world touring together. Otto is a wonderful creature and even took me to Berlin to perform."

The Jew Tang Clan will have its first show tomorrow at Blackbird Ordinary as part of the establishment's ever popular Ladies' Night, where women drink free until 1 a.m., no matter what religion they subscribe to.
