Sweatstock 2015 Announces 38-Act Lineup for Sweat Records' Ten Years

"On March 12, 2005," marvels Lolo Reskin, "Sweat Records first opened its doors to the public!"

We can't believe it's been a whole decade since Little Haiti's little music shop started selling vintage vinyl, new pressings, and many other fine collectible items with the talismanic power to make music nerds stop scowling for at least the length of a song.

Yet it's true: Sweat is turning ten years old. And that means the next edition of Sweatstock, the shop's annual celebration of its own anniversary and Record Store Day, will be a super-significant occasion for Lolo, her crew, local bands and fans, and anyone else who believes, like Ms. Reskin, that "Miami deserves a world-class shop."

In honor of this South Florida cultural landmark's tenth anniversary, Lolo and the Sweat music bookers, along with metal and punk promoters Degeneration and Idle Hands, have been compiling a 38-act music lineup. There's also gonna be five rad food vendors, the launch of the new issue of Jai-Ala Magazine, Daniel Reskin and the Casa de Haha comics, mounds of Record Store Day special releases and merch, and $4 beer, courtesy of Rolling Rock.

Here's to another decade of staying Sweat-y.
