The Bath Club on Miami Beach (59th St. and Collins Ave.) has long been a private, membership-only establishment with its' own intimate, members-only restaurant. But starting Sunday, November 1st, the fully restored 1920s Mediterranean-style clubhouse restaurant will be open to the public. It will be known as The Cape Cod Room, operated by Ken Lyon, longtime caterer now best known as owner of Fratelli Lyon.

Lyon describes The Cape Cod Room as "a retro-classic restaurant featuring upscale East Coast Americana comfort food". He and chef Jorge Cardenas will be "drawing on the rich culinary traditions of the northeastern seaboard" (Ken spent summers on the Cape, and nabbed his first chef job there). Menu staples will include  Cape Cod Quahog Chowder; Twin Miniature Lobster Rolls; Oysters and Clams on the Half Shell; and Fresh Codfish Stew, "amongst other Atlantic Seafood dishes primarily sourced directly from Massachusetts and Maine".

Sounds promising.
