According to Miami.com, the current incarnation will close Sunday, August 3. Although plans are in the works for relocation "over the bridge," so far there's no firm date -- or venue -- for the grand reopening.

A release states the Pubbelly boys are looking at spaces in midtown, Wynwood, the Design District, and the blooming Biscayne corridor. Details on the new location are in the developmental stage.

Andreas Schreiner said the high cost of doing business in Miami Beach was the catalyst for the steak house's departure. "Unfortunately, the rising costs of real estate would not have allowed us to continue to operate PB Steak without raising our prices, which would go against our commitment to our customers to be a local, everyday-eating establishment."

PB Steak opened in January 2013 and was listed in Miami New Times' "Top 15 Restaurants Reviewed in 2013" for its "wonderful cuts of meat, French onion soup dumplings, and bacon confit." The steak house was also the venue for the Pubbelly boys to get creative with different pop-up concepts, such as their Taco Belly lunch menu and PB Fish, a seafood-shack happy-hour pop-up within the restaurant.

In addition to the recent opening of L'echon Brasserie and the relocation of PB Steak, the Pubbelly Restaurant Group has plans to expand the brand globally.
