This Sunday, families all over the country will participate in the tradition of stashing
either painted eggs or eggs already filled with goodies all over the house and neighborhood. If the regular old egg hunt just won't satisfy the
kiddies, there are a number of interesting egg hunts scattered
around the county. Here are some of the most popular.
Miami Seaquarium's Bunny Palooza

From Friday, April 6 to Sunday, April 8, the Seaquarium features Ariana Grande as celebrity grand marshal of the Easter parade and a number of activities associated with the Bunny Palooza. Starting at 12:30 p.m. every day Grande, who plays Cat Valentine on the hit TV show "Victorious," will join guests as they enjoy continuous Easter egg hunts, bounce houses, giant fun slide, rock climbing wall and many prizes.
The 2012 Bunny-Palooza will be bigger and better than ever before," according to Andrew Hertz, general manager at Miami Seaquarium. The biggest prize may be the Golden Egg, which will be stashed randomly in one of the gifts bags given out throughout the day and will allow one lucky child and up to three family members or friends free admission to Miami Seaquarium for their entire lifetime.
Egg Safari at Zoo Miami

Every year since its opening, Zoo Miami has welcomed hordes of anxious children on Easter weekend to participate in continuous egg safaris, fun activities, and to see the Easter Bunny. Perhaps the highlight of Zoo Miami's festivities is their distributing of various treats to the different animals housed on site. Starting at 10:30 a.m. April 7 & 8, the tigers first receive papier maché bunnies, all the way to 3 p.m. with the African elephant egg hunt featuring painted coconuts and other treats hidden in the yard.
Sunny Isles Beach's Eggs Scramble

While Zoo Miami and Miami Seaquarium Easter egg hunts are taking place all weekend and cost a pretty penny, Sunny Isles Beach's 10th Annual Eggs Scramble takes place just Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Pelican Community Park and costs absolutely nothing. Organizers will divide the park into four age groups and send out the kids to find 10,000 candy-filled eggs hidden under a sea of 3,000 brightly colored beach balls.
Easter Eggstravaganza at Jungle Island
Jungle Island; 1111 Parrot Jungle Trail, Miami; 305-400-7000
Adults ($29.95) Children ($5 with purchase of adult ticket)
Open to children 10 years and under from April 6-8, Jungle Island will host daily Easter Egg Hunts, pie-eating contests, arts and crafts stations, animal encounters, bounce houses, face painting stations and visits from special characters. Easter Brunch all-you-can-eat buffet will also take place on Sunday is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for $48 for adults and $35 for children (3 to 10 years old). Prices include discounted park admission and a portion of the proceeds benefit Children First at University of Miami.
