GQ Magazine has a lot of famous and talented men gracing its covers for the December "Man of the Year" issue.
The rotating cover models have just been announced, and it's an eclectic group of intelligent, talented, and dashing individuals that includes Matthew McConaughey, Will Ferrell, Justin Timberlake, Kendrick Lamar, James Gandolfini (posthumously), and Regent Cocktail Club mixologist Julio Cabrera -- sort of.
According to GQ, about 5,000 copies of Cabrera's cover will be printed for distribution by Bombay Sapphire and will not be nationally circulated at newsstands when the December 2013 issue is released Tuesday, November 19.
The good news, however, is that Cabrera will be featured in an advertising pullout section of the issue regardless of which celeb is splashed on your particular cover.
Cabrera landed the GQ cover spot after winning the Bombay Sapphire Most Imaginative Bartender 2013 competition, in partnership with the United States Bartending Guild, in September.
The cover photo shoot occurred in Las Vegas and has the dapper bartender looking good in a Thomas Pink herringbone suit, check shirt, and floral tie.
Asked about how it feels to be a GQ cover model, Cabrera told Short Order: "It's amazing to be on the cover, but what makes me happier is to keep providing experiences from behind the bar." You can taste the dapper mixologist's "most imaginative cocktails" at the Regent Cocktail Club in South Beach.
