The Williams sisters absolutely love playing in the Sony Ericsson Open, and between Venus and Serena, they've won eight of the past 12 tournaments. Serena had to sit out this year's open, but Venus might keep the family tradition going.

Third-seeded Venus today extended her 16-match winning streak by trouncing Marion Bartoli 6-3 6-4. It will be the elder Williams sister's first time in the finals since 2001, when she won.

She'll take on the winner of the all-Belgian matchup between Justine Henin and Kim Clijsters. Clijsters last played in and won the tournament in 2005. Henin lost in the 2007 finals against Serena.

Venus is a minority owner of the Miami Dolphins, and it sure would be nice to see someone associated with that team take home a championship in Miami.
