Miami Nose Job Doc in Trouble for Commissioning "Jewcan Sam" Music Video

So, Dr. Michael Salzhauer, a Bal Harbor plastic surgeon, decided to commission a music video to promote his nose-job services to a young audience. Here is a comprehensive list of (almost) everything in the video that could be considered offensive: the song's name, "Jewcan Sam"; making light of teen bullying; a man in blackface portraying Oprah; promoting teacher-student relationships; directly targeting high school kids for plastic surgery; and last but not least, using punk rock (in a very watered-down form) to sell plastic surgery.

Salzhauer is now under investigation by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons for demeaning his profession. He doesn't seem to care, though.

Here's the music video in question, which features the band the Groggers performing a song known as both "Jewcan Sam" and "Nose Job Love Song." Be warned: It is terrible.

In case you didn't put two and two together, "Jewcan Sam" is a play on the name of Toucan Sam, the large-beaked mascot of Froot Loops cereal.

"The song is meant to be funny, not offensive," Salzhauer tells ABC News.

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons doesn't agree.

"This is just disturbing that a doctor would play into the frailties of the human condition," ASPS's Dr. Malcolm Roth tells ABC.

The ASPS has now "initiated an investigation under its Code of Ethics which clearly requires ASPS members to uphold the dignity and honor of the medical profession." The most strident punishment for such violations is a loss of certification.

Salzhauer isn't deterred. He tells ABC he's now running a contest for people to create their own video for the song. The prize: a free nose job.

"This is how people connect nowadays, through social media, and it's a little bit cutting-edge," he said. "It can start a discussion on something that is common but still a little bit stigmatized."

Of course, maybe someone should have told Salzhauer that kids don't listen to sappy pop punk anymore. That's so 2002. Maybe commission a dubstep remix or get Nicki Minaj to drop a verse.

The band, thank goodness, is not local. It's from Queens, New York. Salhauer picked the group because he thought the band members all had rather larges noses. He even offered them nose jobs.

Only the lead singer took him up on the offer.

This isn't the first time Salzhauer has made waves with his unique advertising ways. In 2009, he celebrated the opening of his new headquarters with a Plastic Surgery Fashion Show featuring heavily silicone-enhanced models.

In 2010, he created an ap on his website called "Heidi Yourself," that allowed women to see what a Heidi Montag-esque plastic explosion would do for their face.

He also has written an illustrated children's book called My Beautiful Mommy for kids whose moms are going under the knife for cosmetic enhancements.
