There are only three acceptable situations in which it is OK to snatch a woman's weave: (1) Bitch just stole your man, (2) you are on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, or (3) you are a police officer who has reasonable suspicion that a suspect is hiding stolen cash under said weave. Leave it to South Florida to make situation number three a reality.
A Broward Sheriff's Office deputy in Hollywood was called to the scene after a man staying at the Westin Diplomat Hotel claimed a woman stole cash from his shorts pockets. Police began questioning 20-year-old Esther Armbrister, a Miami resident.
She tried her hardest to show that she didn't have the cash on her. She emptied her pants pockets and even somehow proved to the officer that she wasn't concealing the cash in her bra, but something still seemed off.
The officer thought the money could be hiding underneath Armbrister's wig, and after removing the hairpiece (OK, so it wasn't quite a snatch) found 15 hundred-dollar bills and six 20s.
This isn't the first time Armbrister has run afoul of the law. She was charged last year in Miami-Dade for prostitution and robbery. Though this is the first time she posed for a mug shot sans weave:
