Dwyane Wade's divorce continues to get uglier, with both sides talking to the press. His estranged wife, ol' what's her name -- VinceVaughn Wade? SeaQuest Wade? Oh, Siohvaughn Wade -- had her attorneys fire back at Dwyane's charges that she's an unfit parent with a penchant for wacky religion and other abnormal behavior. Though a friend testified Siohvaughn's claims that Dwyane gave her an STD are bogus.
Earlier this week, Dwyane filed for sole custody of the couple's two sons, claiming Siohvaughn wasn't stable enough to parent. Filings claim she practices "alternative avenues of worship that are completely outside of the status quo" and that when Dwyane sent his sister to pick up the kids, Siohvaughn and her friends surrounded her and begin praying for her salvation.
"Our client believes that these various papers were filed as retaliation for her legitimate claims filed March 19, 2010 in the Domestic Relations Court in a Petition for Order of Protection regarding the abuse by Mr. Wade dating back to 2006," Siohvaughn's attorney retorted in an email to the Associated Press.
"It is regrettable that this father now chooses to use mental health and religion as another means to battle and abuse the mother."
Dwyane's side claims Siohvaughn carried on extramarital affairs, refused to let the star see his sons, and threw tantrums.
Siohvaughn's attorneys claim the children barely saw their father and were afraid of him, and once claimed Dwyane gave her chlamydia.
TMZ reports that during a deposition, a close friend of the couple, Andrea Williams, said Siohvaughn did not get the STD from Dwyane but from a man she was seeing while still married.
