For the next four months, rapper Fat Joe will be leaning back in the Federal Detention Center in Miami. He turned himself in today to start his sentence for tax evasion, but the seasonal stay will be quite a bit shorter than the two years he originally faced.

Back in December, Joe (real name Joseph Cartagena) pleaded guilty to charges of tax evasion. He apparently just straight up forgot to pay his tax bill back from 2007 and 2010. That all totaled up, according to some sources, to around $3 million. Then this past June he was hit with the four-month sentence.

According to TMZ, he'll also owe a fine of $15,000. That's reduced from the $200,000 maximum penalty he could have faced. Following his four-month stint behind bars he'll also serve one year of supervised release.
