Nothing better than watching a college football recruiting saga play out. While the Canes have been on the more painful end of some recent ones (Bryce Brown and Willie Williams, to name just two), the Seantrel Williams saga looks like it might end up in Miami's favor. There are dueling reports about whether the highly touted five-star recruit visited Miami this past weekend, but the chances of his putting on the Orange and Green are looking more likely.

The St. Paul Press, Henderson's hometown paper, reported he was in Miami this Saturday visiting the Canes. The newspaper also added this interesting tidbit:

Henderson would have to be released from his tender by USC to be eligible to play elsewhere next season. Evidence exists that USC coach Lane Kiffin assured Henderson there would be no major penalties for football, and that could be used in a waiver request to leave USC.

Meaning there's a possibility Henderson might be able to transfer to Miami without taking a year off on the sidelines.

However, ESPN reports the trip never occurred:
Several reports have surfaced that USC offensive lineman Seantrel Henderson has been on Miami's campus, but that is incorrect, according to a source at Miami. Henderson still has not been granted his release from USC. Miami cannot speak with him until that happens, but if and when it does, the Canes would likely recruit him again and they do have a scholarship available for him.

Details, details. What no one is refuting is that Henderson is all but ready to ditch Kiffin and the Trojans for Randy Shannon and the Hurricanes.
