If you happen to have tens of millions of dollars and are on the look out for a new home that was once occupied by a celebrity, we have some good news and some bad news.
The bad news first, just to get it out of the way: After a few years of trying to sell it, Matt Damon may have finally found a buyer for his home on North Bay Road on Miami Beach. So that's no longer an option. The good news? Just a little down the street, Shakira is quietly trying to sell her North Bay Road home.
According to Miami Condo Investments, Damon's property at 6020 North Bay Road has been on the market for over 600 days and may have finally found a buyer. Originally listed for $20 million, the price was eventually dropped to $18,999,000. The home is now in contract, but there's no word on who the buyer is or how much they're about to shell out.
Dubbed "Maravilla," Damon's property was built in 1935 and sits on a double lot with 170 feet of waterfront. Damon had bought the pad in 2005 for $14.5 million, and lived in the seven bedroom home for a time with his family. His wife is a Miami native.
Meanwhile, just down the road at 3140 North Bay Road, Shakira has decided to try and sell her manse again. She had the property on the market earlier this year with reality star Katrina Campins' firm before re-listing with Fortune International with an asking price of $12.9 million. It was taken off the market, but according the Real Deal, it now has a "whisper price" of a similar $13 million.
