UPDATE: The National Trust for Historic Preservation event at Miami Marine Stadium on Saturday is now SOLD OUT. It's open to ticket holders only and not to the general public. If you missed out, better luck next time!

If you're a little too law-abiding to hop the fences at Miami Marine Stadium, but long to get a glimpse at those graffiti-scrawled walls -- this is your lucky day.

For $40 on September 20, you can see some local and international street artists make masterpieces, score a tour, and head home with a print. And your funds will benefit the stadium's restoration -- all nice and legal-like.

The event is hosted by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, which previously named Miami Marine Stadium a "national treasure."

Participating artists include Crash, Tristan Eaton, Ron English, Reinier Gamboa, Logan Hicks, The London Police, Jose Mertz, and Johnny Robles. Plus, award-winning photojournalist Martha Cooper will join them, and videographer Tom Akerman will shoot material for a short flick about the project.

"This isn't just an event. It's preservation. Our $40 cost of admission is actually the cost of an official print by the ART | History Mural Project," says Jason Lloyd Clement, director of community outreach for the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

"Working with the National Trust for Historic Preservation, this group has commissioned muralists from around the world to create original works of art inside the stadium. All of the new installations have been thoroughly documented and are now being sold online in the form of limited edition prints -- the proceeds of which directly support the stadium's restoration."

In other words, your cash will support the restoration of one of Miami's most awesome landmarks.

"From the powerboat races and raucous concerts once held there, to the ever-evolving graffiti that today adorns every reachable portion of its walls, Miami Marine Stadium has always had a wild side. That's what makes it so Miami," Clement adds.

"By attending our Art Intervention, people will get an extraordinary glimpse into a culture that has kept the stadium alive and vibrant since it was shuttered in 1992. And that's the culture of street artists. Attendees will see works of art created before their eyes on an iconic concrete canvas that has for decades inspired people who are magnetically drawn to the stadium and want to see it reborn in all its wild ways."

Besides, if you're a Miamian and you've never seen the inside of this place, that's a bucket list must for $40. Tickets are available now via eventbrite.com.
