The Real Housewives are people too, y'all. If you prick them, do they not bleed? If you tickle them, do they not laugh? If you post cruel nonsense about them in the comments section of a blog post, do they not hit you with a lawsuit?

According to TMZ, they most certainly do. Lisa Hochstein, the wife of "boob god" Lenny Hochstein who joined The Real Housewives of Miami last season, is suing a woman who claimed Hochstein once worked as a soft porn actress in Vegas.

Hochstein's suit claims she suffered "severe emotional distress" after reading a comment made by Jessica Lederman which read, "Lisa was an escort who also did soft porn in Vegas." The Housewife is asking for no less than $15,000 in damages.

She's also asking for a full-on flame war. It's noble for Hochstein to try to clear her name -- though in all honesty, if she'd never filed the lawsuit, very few people would've heard Lederman's allegations about her in the first place. But the first rule for celebrities on the Internet (or, really, for anyone on the Internet at all), is: Don't feed the trolls. They are to be ignored like a grade-school bully. Engaging only assures you'll continue to be a target. And now Hochstein's put a $15,000 target on her own back.

Then again, if a judge rules that Lederman has to pay those damages, maybe Internet commenters will think twice before posting mean or unfair drivel to blog posts, and the online world will be a better place. Haha, just kidding, the Internet will forever be a pit of hatred and porn.

UPDATE: Hochstein spoke to the Miami Herald and clarified that Lederman isn't just some random Internet commenter; she's a personal acquaintance: "The fact that she knows me and I've seen her in my home, well, it just sits the wrong way . I'm not going to go after every blogger and commenter out there." Run, Lisa! The trolling is coming from inside the house!
