Last week, the Voice of the University of Miami scored a nomination from MTV for America's best college radio station. And while the pool of potential winners has already been slashed down to 50, the cuts will continue tomorrow when half of the nominees get dumped.

What can all you concerned listeners do? Head over to radiowoodie.ratemyprofessors.com and vote! And here's the best part: Voting's unlimited, so go slip a billion ballots into MTV's box and give WVUM that Woodie.

Now what exactly would it mean for the Voice to score this award? "Oh my god, are you kidding me? I really hope we win," enthuses the station's general manager Amber Robertson. "It's the first year they air the Woodie Awards [live] on TV and it's on three networks, MTV, MTV2 and mtvU. So just the fact that we'd be all over the nation on television is huge. It would draw more people to our website, more donations, and greater general interest in the station. Not to mention, bragging rights!"

Visit radiowoodie.ratemyprofessors.com to vote now. The 25 Woodie nominees for best college radio station will be announced Tuesday, February 8, with the final 10 confirmed on Tuesday, February 15. And finally, the sixth annual mtvU Woodie Awards will air Wednesday, March 16, at midnight on MTV, MTV2 and mtvU from the Austin Music Hall in Austin, Texas, during the South by Southwest Music Festival.
