In recent years, the Honda Civic Tour has been heavily male, full of the kind of high-sheen, faintly punk-pop acts who trafficked heavily in heartbreak (Motion City Soundtrack, Fall Out Boy, The Academy Is..., and so on). Though the tour took a hiatus last year, it's back for 2k10, and this year, ladies get their say. Headlining is the Tennessee act Paramore, headed by firecracker Hayley Williams, but definitely a proper band, thankyouverymuch. The band is still touring behind its third studio album, last year's Brand New Eyes. Gig support for this outing, in that great music-industry way, comes from a much longer-running act: the older and wiser Tegan and Sara. Show the kiddies how it's done, ladies.
The tour rolls into Bayfront Park Amphitheater on Saturday, September 4. Tickets cost $37.50 for reserved seating, and $29.50 for the lawn. They go on sale this Friday, April 9, at 5 p.m., through
