He's a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award winner, and a Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire. But in the restaurant business, Sir Eric Clapton is Hard Rock Café.

Throughout the 1970s, Clapton was a regular patron at the first Hard Rock in London. But by 1979, the restaurant had become so popular amongst locals that "Slowhand" had to barter for a seat.

In exchange for a permanent seat, Clapton donated his red Fender Lead II. And in exchange for the seat, the Hard Rock got its piece of music memorabilia.

Over 30 years later, the relationship between Clapton and the Hard Rock is still fruitful. In fact, the legendary axe man just announced two upcoming shows at Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in March.

In November, Clapton announced the fourth edition of the Crossroads Guitar Festival, a two-day concert featuring the likes of B.B. King, Booker T, among others, and benefiting the musician's drug rehabilitation center in Antigua.

"The Crossroads Festival is the realization of a dream for me, to gather a group of amazingly talented musicians to perform on one stage," Clapton told Guitar World. "The Crossroads performers are all musicians I admire and respect."

But before Clapton and friends takes over Madison Square Garden, the three-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee is hitting the road on a U.S. tour. And he's headed our way.
