America's 9.1 unemployment rate got you down? Yeah, we're pretty bummed about that shit too. But at least the weekend's here, and there's plenty of stuff to do that's under $10.

Treat yourself to a free Surfer Blood concert, or maybe tackle $0.99 beers at Miami's oldest bar. We don't want to see you moping about the house just 'cause you can't afford to drop $70 on Willy Chirino. We want you to stretch that $10 as far as possible.

So check out our ten best music-related things to do this weekend under $10.

Big Brass Juke. Friday, October 14, 10:30 p.m, The Stage, 170 NE 38th St., Miami. Free. What do you get when you blend a harmonica, guitar, bass, and drums with a couple of horns and some keys? "Miami's favorite dirty blues band," that's what.

Surfer Blood. Friday, October 14, 6 p.m., Bayfront Park, 301 Biscayne Blvd., Miami. Free. Palm Beach's biggest indie surf pop outfit is back in Miami for a free show courtesy of the city's DWNTWN Concert Series.

Downtown Full Moon Party. Friday, October 14, 9 p.m., Tobacco Road, 626 S. Miami Ave., Miami. $5 cover. There's a full moon tonight, and that means Miami's oldest bar is hosting tremenda pachanga with local bands Free Like Mike and Mr. BongoMan. Show up around 6 p.m. and enjoy $0.99 cent beers.

Jesse Jackson. Friday, October 14, 8 p.m., Lester's, 2519 NW Second Ave., Miami. Free . Not that Jesse Jackson, silly. Jesse Jackson the lovable indie pop crooner.

Underground Rebel Bingo. Saturday, October 15, 9 p.m., Fillmore Miami Beach, 1700 Washington Ave., Miami Beach. $10. Remember going to play Bigo with grandma at the church down the street from your house? This is nothing like that. Shit gets wild at Rebel Bingo -- dancing, yelling, drinking, all around lawlessness. It sounds gnarly.

Flute Salad Dance Party. Saturday, October 15, 8 p.m., Lester's, 2519 NW Second Ave., Miami. Free. Y'all know and love her contributions to Crossfade. But did you know that Liz Tracy also throws a killer dance party? Check it out.

Tribute to Celia Cruz. Saturday, October 15, 10 p.m., Tobacco Road, 626 S. Miami Ave., Miami. $5. Celia Cruz was a legend, every day should be a tribute to the late salsera.

Chocolate Sundays with DJ A-Train. Sunday, October 16, 6 p.m., Purdy Lounge, 1811 Purdy Ave., Miami Beach. Free. Kick it at Purdy each and every Sunday for Chocolate Sundays. This week, DJ A-Train mixes it up.

Nathan Rich and the Untold Riches . Sunday, October 16, 11 a.m., MacArthur Beach Park, 10900 Jack Nicklaus Dr., North Palm Beach. $5. It's easy to forget, but we're Southerners. And South Florida has a great tradition of bluegrass music.

Conjunto Progreso. Sunday, October 16, 9 p.m., Upstairs at the Van Dyke, 846 Lincoln Rd., Miami Beach. $7. Where else can you catch a Grammy-nominated group for under $10? Exactly.
